Dance
School Radio dance programmesDance is acknowledged as an important part of a child's education in the National Curriculum and the Expressive Arts Guidelines in Scotland and Northern Ireland encourage teachers to develop dance throughout the school as part of the Arts and PE curriculum.

School Radio offers three co-ordinated series that provide a comprehensive dance resource across the primary years. Each of the series provides opportunities to respond to a range of stimuli including specially-composed music, stories and poetry and the latest chart tracks. The series develop from simple movements based on children's own experience through to enabling children to create their own dances as individuals, groups and as a whole class.
