The Education Reform Act 1988 requires all schools (with provisions) to take part in a daily act of Collective worship which is 'wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character'. The Together approach to Collective Worship includes material from a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds.
Together also links to other important non-statutory areas of the curriculum, in particular PSHE and Citizenship, particularly developing confidence and responsibility; preparing to play an active role as citizens; developing good relationships and respecting the differences between people. |
