Welcome to the new Production Safety Guide

PSG master documents, with a full index and individual guide pages.
General Safety topics to consider at the planning stage for your production.
An A-Z of production safety topics. From aerial filming to zoos.

This guide clearly and concisely sets out the safety Do's and Dont's for different production activities and locations.

The guide contains the collected knowledge of people who are experienced in managing and advising on programme safety. It can be used as a guide when you are planning your programme, completing a recce, carrying out risk assessments or reviewing your existing risk assessment.

It is not infallible or a substitute for original thinking - it's simply an aide memoir and information resource based on current leglislation and best practice.

The complete online guide and individual pages are downloadable as pdfs from the Index page; we hope you find this useful.

Thanks to everyone across the BBC who has contributed so far.
