Working with Computers and Monitors
Hot Desk Layout

If the user hot desks then they only need to carry out a DSE assessment at one particular desk. The desks should all be adjustable and comply with minimum requirements so the training the user has received should make it possible for them to achieve the optimum position when seated.

  • Desks need to be adjustable so that each user can make changes to their work area quickly and easily before they start. This would be the ideal set up.
  • If this is not possible due to cost then the screen would need to be placed on a monitor arm so that height adjustment is quick and easy.
  • If the desk is not adjustable then a foot rest may be required.
