Frederick's Story

My father, who studied engineering before signing up, and first joined the Dorset Queens' Own Yeomanry. His first posting was at Gallipoli. Obtaining a comission, he transferred to the 5th Service, Bath and Dorset Regiment. The Royal Engineers followed in 1917 and he was demobbed in 1919.

Awarded the Military Cross for his service in East Africa.
