Henry's Story

Quiet, unassuming man who served with the 6th Battalion Cameronian (Scottish Rifles) as part of the British Expeditionary Force (France) 20/03/1915 to 18/04/1916. While he never spoke about his experience, the records show the Battalion were in action at Aubers Ridge and Festubert. Discharged 29/04/1916. Military Conduct - Exemplary. Returned to the Mining Industry and retired in 195.
