John's Story

John Moulton joined the 5th Dragoon Guards in 1914 and was demobilised in 1919. After returning from active service John joined the merchant navy, first with the Booth Steamship Company and later joined the Bibby Line, serving on what became the HMS Worcestershire. It was during this time that John Moulton was seriously injured as a result of a fall and died on the 9th December 1939 leaving a widow and three children.
