Amos Edwards's Story

My grandfather. Killed at Gheluvelt, Belgium in October 1914. Completed regular army service earlier that year. Returned to Herefordshire and married. As a reservist was recalled to barracks in Brecon at the outbreak of war in August and sent to France/ Belgium. His son (my late father) was not born until the following February.
