Percy's Story

Sgt Percy Turnbull RIP

Sgt Percy Turnbull died at the third battle of Ypres, Paschendale in 1917. He is commemorated on the walls at the Tyne Cot military cemetery. He has no known grave. His only daughter, Kathleen "Annie-Kathleen" Turnbull Rhind, was my wife's Godmother. We still have the letters that were returned to her from the front marked "missing in action". She would have been 16 years of age at the time
