Charles's Story

Charles was my great uncle, who I remember not just on remembrance day, but regularly throughout the year. He is one of two uncles who lost their lives in World War 1, the other being Frederick. My grandfather, Julius, who was their brother, did survive the war, even after being gassed and injured by shrapnel.
