Thomas's Story

Though he was a territorial in the Arbroath branch of the artillery his heart was always with the Gordon Highlanders which he joined in the early 19s. I was approx 6 years old when he returned and can still see him with his army kitbag and cheery grin when he returned to a loving family. I can still see him when he had a dram singing a Gordon for me. He spent most of the war as a POW Stalag XXB. A wonderful father to my brothers and sisters in later years. God Bless Da
