Nathan's Story

My grandfather was a jewish Russian Immigrant who joined up in 1916. He fought on the western front in 1917 and was transferrred to Italy towards the end of the war where he served out his service. He was demobbed in 1917 and became a British citizen in 1920. I never knew him as I was adopted at birth but am very proud that after he came to this country he chose to fight for it.
