Joseph's Story

Joseph Watts joined the Northamptonshire regiment as a boy soldier and died in the Battle of Somme as part of the Machine Gun Corps aged 23 years. He left behind 3 brothers all who served in the war and 4 sisters one of which was Alice, my grandmother.

Remembering a great uncle I never knew but feel I did after tracing his life.
