George's Story

Older brother of my grandmother Beatrice Gunn He died of wounds 27 February 1916

He was the son of Reuben and Hannah Gunn of Holm Flatt Street, Parkgate, Rotherham. After her sons death my great grandmother, Hannah, was quoted as saying, when someone asked if she hated the Germans, 'No. They are some mothers sons'.
