I don't know much about this man but he was my great grandfather who died aged 26 on 13th April 1918 following a 4 hr Gas bombardment on the Purple Line near Maillet-Mailly along with 7 officers and another 229 other ranks he being no.230. He is buried at Bienvillers war cemetary.
Due to his ultimate sacrifice his son had 4 children,5 great grandchildren and 8 greta great grandchildren.
