Charles Henry's Story

He died when my father was a baby.

Charles Henry Schnaar, known as Henry, was a gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery. Henry was married to Elizabeth Amy and had two sons, Charles and Leonard. He was my grandfather and died when my father was a baby, and is buried at the cemetery at Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension in France. We visited his grave on two occasions.
