Burt's Story

Burt served in Belgium and Italy. He was wounded twice, first by machine gun fire and then by shrapnel. While recovering he was invited, with others, to meet the King and Queen at Windsor Castle on September 3rd 1918. After the war he married Mary and they had four children. He died in 1964.
