James's Story

A family story records that Jim went away to war and said to his then pregnant Mum 'If I don't come back, call the baby after me'.

'If I don't come back, call the baby after me'

He didn't come back and my aunt [Charlotte Septa] was called Jim all her life! I asked Auntie Jim when she was 90 whether this story of her name was true and she confirmed it.

I would love to find out more about Jim.
