George Henry's Story

George Henry Furneaux was born in Torquay in 1883, the youngest son of Henry and Selina Furneaux. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Furneaux, father to Phyllis, Winefred Mary and Georgina. A Tailor by profession before the war, living at Woodville Road, Ellacombe, Torquay in 1911. George Henry died on the 4 th. January 1918, aged 34 and is remembered with honour at Doullens Communal Cemetery Extention No. 1 memorial reference V. C. 69
