Edwin Charles's Story

Private 46339 aged 23 1st battalion the Royal Fusiliers, 24th Division killed in action on first day of third battle of Ypres 31 July 1917 son of Henry and Eliza of Dens Cottages Buckshalls, Lindfield, born Lindfield, employed as a baker by Mr T. E. Charman of the High Street. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium. mr 29.
