William's Story

My great grandfather. William joined the Cameronians in 1901 and served in India and S.Africa before being sent to France in August 1914. He won the DCM in 1915 for outstanding bravery under fire, wounded in the arm on the 25/9/1915 and again shellshocked in1916, he servived the war and left the army in 1922, 21years in the Cameronians.
