James's Story

My grandfather James William King joined up at the age of 18. He initially joined the 6th Bn Rifle Brigage in March 1918 and joined the 2/10th Bn London Regt in the field in August and fought with them until the armistice. He was an expert shot and lewis gunner. He had initially tried to join the Royal Flying Corps at the age of 15 but was sent home!
