William's Story

This is in memory of my Gt Gt Grandfather William Martin born 1881 in Aberdeen, who gave his life in WWI. He fought in the Oxford and Bucks Regiment and then the Whiltshire regiment. He died 5th February 1917 from his wounds, leaving his devoted wife Emma and six young children. My Gt Gt Grandmother never got over your loss and i treasure all the postcards, photo's and letters you sent her. I never knew you but i owe you so much, God bless you and all the men who fell with you, all my love Claire xx
