George's Story

George Bentley volunteered to rescue a wounded officer while the field was still under fire. He was listed as "missing in action" on the 26th April 1918. For his bravery he was awarded the Military Medal. He is commemorated at the Tyne Cot Memorial Panel 75 to 77.
