David's Story

Private David Batham died in trenches near La Brique on 9 August 1915.

Private David Batham, 20120, 3rd Bn, Worcestershire Regiment, died in trenches near La Brique on 9 August 1915. He is buried in La Brique Military Cemetery No 1, near Ypres. Although his headstone gives his age as 35, his date of birth was 4 January 1874 and so he was 41 when he died. He left behind his wife Alice Victoria Batham and children Lois, Stanley and Edith.
