Can I obtain a video or CD of a BBC programme?
BBC copyright agreements only cover broadcasts. The rights for further distribution of programme recordings have to be negotiated as separate agreements. Therefore we can only provide a recording if it has been made commercially available.
BBC programmes and other material are stocked by a wide range of retailers. Some recordings are available for for educational/non-theatrical use. Further information on transcripts, recordings and reuse of BBC programmes.

Can I record a radio programme from the web to listen in my own time?
Unfortunately, due to copyright agreements, the Radio iPlayer does not allow recording. You can listen to most programmes for seven days after broadcast.
We are working on making available online the full archives of some programmes, such as In Our Time, where copyright agreements allow it.
Why does bbc.co.uk/religion use BCE and CE instead of BC and AD?
In line with modern practice bbc.co.uk/religion uses BCE/CE (Before Common Era/Common Era) as a religiously neutral alternative to BC/AD. As the BBC is committed to impartiality it is appropriate that we use terms that do not offend or alienate non-Christians.
