Celebrity Auction for Comic Relief
As red carpet fever fades in LA after Oscar's night, it's just beginning in the seaside village of Walberswick, Suffolk as they prepare for celebrity glamour to take over at a charity auction on March 8 in aid of Comic Relief.
Stars of stage and screen have donated items to be auctioned in front of a packed house of fans and collectors, with items including a signed t-shirt from former super model Twiggy, a designer jacket from Jo Brand, a tie from Clive Anderson, two Davina McCall dresses and a shrug from Geri Halliwell.
The auction is being put together by a team of dedicated volunteers. They hope to raise thousands for Comic Relief from the event. The main organiser Angie Power, who put on a similar event two years ago making £5000, hopes to have a similar response this time around:
"I have really done a lot of begging and asking for these items and it should be good fun and will lift people's spirits in this recession period."
