The Saturdays feel the heat
We're all on tender hooks in the run up to Red Nose Day, how to be funny for money, what nose to wear, and the stars are no different.
The Saturdays will follow in the footsteps of Girls Aloud, Sugababes and the Spice Girls with Just Can't Get Enough, as the main Comic Relief Single. The original single by Depeche Mode made it to number 8 back in 1981 and with a track record of Comic Relief number one singles the girls have got their work cut out.
Una Healy said: "It was a really good song when it came out originally, but ours is a contemporary version."
We reckon with their fifties inspired video and cutting edge dance track it will make it to the top.
Saturdays' Rochelle Wiseman said: "There is a lot of pressure on us because Comic Relief singles have gone to No.1 in the past and we want to sell enough."
"McFly did a good job and got really involved when they released a song for Red Nose Day. We feel the same and just want to do our bit."
Fellow Saturday Vanessa White added: "We do have an easy job and we're inspired to help as many other people as we can."
Single aside and as far as being funny for money goes the girls have every intention of mucking in.
Frankie said: "We're trying to come up with something to do that's amusing. If I end up in a bath of baked beans then everyone else will be doing it, too."
