Information and advice about listening to digital radio on a DAB radio, on digital TV and on the internet.
DAB stands for digital audio broadcasting, which is the name of the system. Digital means that the sound is converted into computerised 'bits' of information before being transmitted. Digital radio takes up less bandwidth than FM/AM radio, so there is room for more stations. To receive the signal, you need a DAB digital radio - you can't listen on a traditional FM/AM set.
