Information and advice about problems with receiving analogue TV (four or five channels via a standard aerial).
Analogue TV is the traditional way of receiving television via an aerial. It gives you a limited number of channels, usually BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4 and (if available in your area) Five.
With the switchover to digital TV in the UK, analogue signals are gradually being turned off. This is happening TV region by TV region, transmitter by transmitter. Switchover has already begun and will be completed by 2012.
