Paul Wilson is a world-renowned expert on cheating, con games and conjuring.
He has been studying sleight of hand since he was eight years old after his grandfather taught him how to cheat at Gin. He is now considered to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on crooked gambling and has consulted for casinos, gaming companies and professional players around the world.
During the 1990s, Paul spent several years playing against casinos employing advanced methods of “advantage play” such as “card counting”, “shuffle tracking” and “spotting”. While these systems are completely legal in the eyes of the law, the casino industry invests millions of pounds to protect their games from players who use them.
In May 2000, Paul retired as a player to become a professional consultant. In 2002 he moved into the film and television industry where he now works as an actor, presenter, writer, producer and director.
Paul has created shows for Court TV, NBC and CBS in the US and is currently one of the writer/presenters of The Real Hustle.
Voting is now closed and the top ten hustles will feature in our Real Hustle Christmas special on the 18th December BBC Three.
