On the 20th Anniversary of The Stone Roses' seminal debut, former frontman Ian Brown hits the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Always under the shadow of his massively influential Roses' work, Ian Brown's solo material doesn't get the credit it deserves. From the overly TV sampled F.E.A.R. to the socially active Illegal Attacks (featuring Sinead O'Connor), Brown has been treading a credible and uncompromising solo musical path. Despite shambolically ending the Roses' live career at Reading in 1996, the festival's still got a soft spot for the forefather of British indie.
