Drawing on late-80s Balearic House, Friendly Fires have become the soundtrack to summer 2009. Calling on carnival rhythms, lead singer Ed is a wriggling ball of energy once the beat drops on stage. Already acclaimed as NME Award's 'Dancefloor Filler' winner, the band are nominated for the forthcoming Mercury Prize in September.
