Launch of International Radio Services using Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM)

Abstract
The Digital Radio Mondiale system of digital broadcasting is briefly described. A number of broadcasters launched DRM services into Europe last year†, and the first consumer radios are expected in the shops during 2006. How this is being achieved is described, together with some field-trial results.
