VSAR - 3D visualisation

VSAR, Viewers Situational & Spatial Awareness for Applied Risk & Reasoning, is a three-year collaborative project funded by the Technology Strategy Board.

The project is developing a set of tools to help visualise an area such as a city centre by combining live images from security or outside-broadcast cameras with pre-generated 3D models of the area.

As a part of our contribution to the project, we will be extending our previous work on camera calibration and segmentation of objects from arbitrary backgrounds, as well as investigating new methods for merging live images into 3D modelled environment.
