Production

The Production research section investigates the application of image analysis, computer vision, advanced audio processing, and tracking technologies to broadcasting, supports the latest HD production technologies as they roll out across the BBC.

Our work ranges from relatively short-term projects that address the immediate needs of production, through to longer-term projects where we are conducting fundamental R&D that has the potential to radically change the way that programmes are made in the future.

    Enabling users to experience a fully-immersive way of exploring three-dimensional worlds by combining a head tracking system with portable pico-projectors on a helmet.
