Audience Experience

Our work on Audience Experience is largely public facing. For the most part we are devoted to enhancing the experience for viewers, listeners and users of our online products and services.

Much of this work involves us in helping to develop complex technology that is masked by its deceptive ease of use.

Audience Experience

We are also required to anticipate the future needs of our audience, for example in the areas of interfaces or content navigation, and are constantly looking to find ever more inventive ways of improving on our existing services. This work has led us into collaborations with an extraordinary range of partners from across the world.

  • The User Experience and Accessibility (UX&A) team conduct and support user-centred research and development of effective and accessible user experiences for BBC audiences and production staff.

  • The Internet Research & Future Services (IRFS) team invents the future of digital media and develops internet technologies through research, prototyping and open experimentation.
