Andrew Bonney

Andrew Bonney joined BBC R&D in 2010 having graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Electronic Engineering. Having started out on the department's trainee scheme, he progressed through a variety of placements before finding a home as part of the IP Studio project.

Over the past few years Andrew has been heavily involved in specifying and prototyping the technology required to produce TV and radio content using IP networks. As part of this he has contributed heavily to open specifications for APIs enabling broadcast equipment from different vendors to interoperate.
