Colin MacKay is presenter of BBC Radio Scotland programmes including Scotland at Ten on Monday and Friday evenings and A Life In Question on Sunday mornings.

Colin started his broadcasting career working with ITV: from 1967 to 1970 he was presenter/reporter at Border Television; 1970 to 1973 presenter/reporter for Grampian Television; and from 1973 to 1992 he was Political Editor and programme presenter at Scottish Television PLC.
He was for ten years a Lobby Correspondent at Westminster. He has also presented programmes for ITN and Channel Four.
In 1992, Colin decided to focus his talents on radio and presented the Talk-In Sunday programme at Radio Clyde for five years.
Also in 1992 he started undertaking occasional political commentary for Radio Scotland until 1993 when he became presenter of Radio Scotland's People and Power programme for seven years.
He then co-presented Politics Tonight for a further five years, and has co-presented Scotland at Ten since its start in September 2005.
Colin has also been involved in programmes reporting the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland since 1995, and was BT Scottish Radio News Journalist of the Year in 1998.
Colin MacKay was born in Glasgow and educated at Kelvinside Academy, then Glasgow University where he gained an MA Hons in English Language and Literature. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
