Sales of multibuys in supermarkets on the increase.
Buy-one-get-one-free is making a big come back in the supermarkets after a brief respite. So are three for twos and all the other offers that persuade us to buy more than we intended. A group of market analysts called Assosia checks on the scale of what they call ‘multi-buy offers’ in supermarkets week by week. They say their figures show they are on the increase. We hear from them, the think tank the New Economics Foundation and the British Retail Consortium.
