Are green policies handicapping our efforts to live with climate change?

There is a movement in some twenty towns around the UK to wean communities off oil. The tranistion Town movement is one end of a spectrum taking action in the hope of staving off the worst effects of climate change. There are other more mainstream attempts from  the government who are encourgaing people to generate power at home using sustainable energy to building to business and industry who claim to be offsetting their 'carbon footprint'. are these rationa responses or emotional ill thought out responses and even possibly counter in the fight to cope with the expected effects of climate change. Leyla Daybelge visited Lewes in East Sussex which a group of green activists has declared to be a transition town. Guests James Hartfield, from Audacity.org; James Legget, Solarcentury
