 Listen to You and Yours

COMING UP ON YOU & YOURS
Next week we’ll be talking technology with the President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Lord Alec Broers, who’s giving this year’s Reith lectures. It’s part of a special series which will include a survey of your views and a vote on the most significant technological innovation of the last two hundred years. If you have any questions or comments you would like to put to Lord Broers on the growth of technology and its implications for us as consumers get in touch.

Give us your views on either topic by calling us on 0800 044 044 or emailing us
Please leave contact details so we can get back to you.

CONTINUING CARE
The NHS is facing a bill of £180 million pounds to repay people who have been billed for care in residential homes that should have been free. The problem is that individual health authorities have been left to decide the difference between personal and nursing care and they have interpreted the guidelines very differently. Luke Clements from Cardiff University; Julia Jatzabowski, who has been unnecessarily billed for health care, and MP Stephen Ladyman talk us through the difficulties.

BUSH SPAM
7 years ago the average computer user received one spam email a week. Last year the average user got 175 a week. And now, at least in the experience of You and Yours  listener Tim Robertson, it appears that even the President of the United States is quick to click and send.
