FOOD ADS After the outlawing of smoking in pubs, the Irish are turning their attention to food advertisements. Among a raft of proposals they want to stop celebrity endorsement of high fat foods to children and stop ads that show the effect of pester power. Michael O’Keefe head of the Irish Broadcasting Commission and Hamish Pringle from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising in the UK explain the new regulations. Listen again

LEVI Levi Strauss and Co. recently took Tesco to court to prevent the supermarket chain from selling cut-price Levis. But now Levis are launching a new range of cheaper jeans called “Signature”, and they’re selling them through Tesco and Asda stores.
