TODAY: Will farmers once again be the victim of a supermarket price war? And are two heads better than one?
MMR AND NURSERIES Day nurseries may be considering excluding children if they haven't had the MMR vaccine. Some parents whose children are not yet old enough for the vaccine are worried that mixing with children who are not immunised may be putting their babies at risk. The director of public health in the North West, John Ashton, and Magda Taylor from the Informed Parent helpline discuss parents are right to consider immunisation as a factor when choosing childcare. COCA COLA Christian Aid is calling for legislation to make multinational companies meet social and environmental standards when they operate outside their national borders. Their report includes some of the allegations broadcast in our Face the Facts investigation last summer into Coca Cola's activities in Kerala, South India. Playwright Amanda Dalton, author Dr Paul Darke, and Geoff Armstrong, from the National Disability Arts Forum, discuss whether coverage of disabled people in the arts can affect attitudes and policy. BIRKENHEAD PARK The government has invested £200 million trying to encourage the rejuvenation of the country's green spaces. And last week on You and Yours, Yvette Cooper, the minister responsible for our parks, claimed they are central to the nation's health.
