2007 marks the 70th anniversary of a device that has revolutionised the lives of millions of disabled people and their carers – the fold-up wheelchair. To coincide we are asking you to nominate the inventions you feel have had the greatest impact on the lives of those with a disability.
We want to know which inventions you would like to nominate and why.
Your nominations will be put to our panel of experts in disability and design who will draw up a shortlist of the inventions that they feel have been the most significant. Each invention on the shortlist will be featured on You and Yours and listeners will then have the opportunity to vote for the invention which has had the greatest impact on people living with a disability.
