Mac on the Move - Day Five
Mac has made great progress over the last week. His current position is now in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, some 80 km to the south of his starting point, the Kruger National Park. There are more herds of Elephant cows in this area and Mac will now be on the look out for a suitable mate.

Report information
As you can see in the maps above, Mac has made a lot of progress and having passed into the Private Nature Reserves he has come across a few herds containing possible female mates. At the moment he is not actively interacting with these herds because he is trying to determine the social hierachy within the herds so he can establish which cow would make a suitable mate. The cows will probably come into heat in a week to ten days time and as this happens Mac's movements will then be governed by which herds have available cows.
