Su Pollard Thursday 30 August 2001
Su Pollard became a household name playing the scatty chalet maid Peggy Ollerenshaw in the popular TV comedy series Hi de Hi!

But she's always been a singer as well and an actor - from her first break on Opportunity Knocks to her first TV comedy role in Two Up, Two Down.
Her stage career has included appearances in Me And My Girl and Little Shop of Horrors and pantomime remains one of her specialities, playing both principal boy and girl across the UK.
She's now trying her hand at Gilbert and Sullivan and talks to Jenni about her role as middle aged spinster Ruth in The Pirates of Penzance.
The Pirates of Penzance will be at the Open Air Theatre at Regent's Park before touring the UK. Box office: 020 7486 2431.
