  Fishwives Monday 25 November 2002
This month a group of women dubbed the Cod Crusaders asked Cherie Blair to put pressure on her husband to protect cod fishing in the North Sea.

It's not the first time that women in the fishing industry have fought for their husbands jobs.
Campaigner Carol McDonald and author Craig Lazenby join Jenni to discuss the current crisis and the distinguished history of the "fishwife" as a campaigner.
Deep Sea Voices: Recollections of Women in our Fishing Communities by Craig Lazenby, published by Tempus Publishing; ISBN: 075241836X
