For some people searching for a relationship, cyber-dating can be a less threatening alternative to meeting people face to face. But it does have its seedier side as freelance journalist Jenny Madden recently discovered.

Jenny met a man through an internet chat-room, and couldn't believe how much they had in common. She fell in love with him, and believed she had met Mr Right - until she found he'd been hacking into her emails.
