Women of the year: Female MP's 27 Dec 2005
What challenges have they faced so far?

This year's general election saw 128 women elected to Parliament, a record number of women. Woman's Hour is following the progress of three new women MPs, one from each of the main parties.

We heard from them first of all a few days after their election. Now more than six months on, Jenni Murray  is joined by Maria Miller, Conservative MP for Basingstoke; Dawn Butler,Labour MP for Brent South and Lorely Burt, Liberal Democrat MP for Solihull. She'll be finding out what they have achieved since the election, what challenges they have faced and what the highs and lows have been so far.
